Hello, can I ask if is possible to cause pneumonia by dropping oil in a nose? Castor oil, one drop. I have read that in some cases it can helps with anosmia, but also have found different opinions about the application. Most suggest simply dropping directly, but it is safe to put an oil same way like nasal drops? If no, what application is safe? Thank you.

My mother has anosmia and it drives her crazy, so far no luck with treatment in hospital, so we are looking for alternatives. Thank you.
