Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 48 year old female who needs to talk to a psychiatrist. My family doctor referred me to 2 different psychiatrist and I was turned away by both being told that I am on to much medication and to complex. The medication I am on is for Congestive Heart Failure. My cardiologist told me that he will take care of my heart but the rest is up to another doctor. (no refferal or effort to put me on to one) The issue I have been dealing with has caused it apparently. This is what my cardiologist advised me. I am told to put it away and not think about my issues however how long can a person do that before it builds and something bad happens. I feel all alone with no help. I can only discuss my issues is a hospital setting because the last time I tried to talk about it (back in June 2015) I had a heart attack.... I am desperate for help and tired of being turned away. I cannot work so I cannot pay anything out of my own pocket. I do have 80% coverage thru my husbands medical plan. If I don't get help soon, Then I may as just give up..... With thanks Pauline
