Have High Cholesterol. Body Swelling. Taking Lasix And Potassium. Have Pitting Edema In Legs. Any Suggestions?

Good evening,
Im a 51 yr old female with high cholesterol and have been on meds. for 15 yrs. Normal BP., five feet tall at 170 lbs. Work out with a trainer 3 days a week. I have had severe body swelling for several months to where people actually see the swelling. My doctor has done all kinds of test and can't find anything , heart, liver and kidneys, etc. I'm now on lasix and potassium which help but does not take away. I'm miserable by the end of the day. I do not eat high salt foods and I even juice. I started a couple weeks ago feeling a squeezing sensation around my upper body and my upper back area. The dr. did a echochardiogram, everything fine. I need help and don't know where to turn. My doctor is calling it veins isuffiency. i have no vericose veins and my whole body is swelling not just my legs, I also I have pitting edema in the legs. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, the reason for the generalised oedema might be the anemia, hyoprotenemia, defeciency of thiamine, or other b. complex factors, or may be renal involvement.
I advise you to consult a general physician for diagnosis and treatment. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and proteine rich foods. thank you.
