Have Headache, Dizziness And Stomach Pain. On Full Dose Of Steroids And Antibiotics. What Could This Be?

I've had a group of symptoms for the last 2 years that seem unrelated when I explain them to my doctor, but they all come on at the same time. The symptoms are: Headache, dizziness, weak feeling in legs, arms and neck, stomach pain, and every time I go to the doctor I am told I have a kidney infection. I take a full dose of steroids and antibiotics, but when I go back a few months later for urine test, I always told I have another infection. I've had an MRI done on my brain (to rule out MS, which my dr was concerned about due to the dizziness) and that came back just fine. Any clue about what these symptoms are caused by? I'm so tired of feeling sick all the time!

Hi,
Based on your details you seem to suffer from kidney infection which require high dose of parenteral antibiotics.Avoid steroids as it can suppress your immunity and make you prone for many infection, it can also produce gastritis and stomach ache and osteoporosis which can cause aches and pain which you have mentioned .I suggest you to consult nephrologist for kidney infection.Meantime have calcium supplements, antacids.Check your blood sugar, thyroid function test , calcium and electrolyes.Once kidney infection subsides and you still have dizziness and headache ,you may require lumbar puncture to rule out chronic meningitis
