Have Elevated Blood Sugar Level. What Kind Of Treatment Should Be Done?

Hi I am 35 years old and my blood sugar is 259. I do not feel any blurred vision, head aches, etc. My wife, who is a registered nurse, just checked my blood sugar count because my father & my uncle are diabetic. Please advise what I should do to lower my blood sugar count. Thank you very much. GOD LOVES ALL. GOD BLESS ALL. ('!')

Hello,

According to your blood sugar value you are a Diabetic. The blood is quite high.

In this situation I would advise my patient to follow lifestyle modification like exercise for 45 mins a day for 5 day a week. Dietary changes like lower carbohydrate and low fat diet. Increase dietary fibers like vegetables and greens.
Start on metformin.
Monitor blood sugar at least once a month and keep regular appointments with the doctor.
