Have Black Eye Along With Swelling Due To Fall

Okaaay. I fell about 2 weeks ago which resulted in black (purple) eye. I believe when I tripped that I hit the corner of a wooden cabinet. The impact broke the door!
Anyway a lot of the bruising is subsiding but I'm left with a huge area of swelling of the brow bone.It doesn't seem to be getting any better. I have no other symptoms. But the swollen area is quite large.

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a fall following which you are having swelling. The swelling you are having is because of collection of blood under the layers of the eye lid.
The treatment is by using cold compress and the condition is usually self limiting and resolves by 3-4 weeks.
If the swelling is not decreasing and if there is associated pain then you need examination and X-ray to rule out fracture.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
