Have Bilateral Leg Pain, Calf Muscle Pain. History Of Back Surgery. MRI Shows Compression, Spinal Stenosis. Help

Is this for a real question? I have blilateral lag pain and muscle aches 24/7 most of the pain are in the calfs. I have 24/7 twitches...large one in both calfs. I have been to many doctors and have had more text then one can tell. I had back surgery 10 years ago for a herniated disk. My jon requirs that I sit a lot. The pain in both legs started 4 years ago and is getting worse...some docs say I need another sugery for scar tissue removal and some say that doent know whats causing it. I am at lost and dont know where to turn? My back is sore day after day. Just had another MRI and it shows mild compression on L4 and 5. Some spinal stenoises and another small disk issue. My ortho says he doesnt thinks thats what causing the problem but has no suggestion on what to do. When I sit in my office, my legs burn and ache...when I get up and walk I feel fine, tight but fine. I have seen three ortho's, and two nero's. I have had three EMG's, all show the twitches but nothing else is wrong. They do see some issues in the back but know one commites to that being it, other then the docs who want to operate. I am 52 in somewhat good shape. Work everyday and life is getting hard. Lost, please help??????

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The nerve root compression and spinal stenosis is more likely to cause nerve related symptoms. The pain in the calves is due to a muscular pain due to stress or tear.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
By the description, it appears to me that you could be either having a recurrent disc problem or spinal canal stenosis, both of them would cause symtoms similar to your presentation.
Generally, a redo surgery of the spine will not carry a good prognosis and good results. So i suggest you to approach a spine surgeon who has got adequate experience in "redo" spinal surgeries.
Hope this helps
