Hello Doctors, I'm having "Bell's Palsy" , and the doctor recommended me "Solupred Oro 20mg"
with a dose :

- half pill ( morning), half Pill (noon), half Pill (Evening) //// For four days

**My question is : are these doses normal _not over_ for my case ..??
: is that Ok if I reduce this 4 days period to 2 days with the same doses..?? " I hope it can be"
: Please reassure me about this kind of "Cortizon", and is it safe with my future regards Body shape or side effects ...??

>>> Note : I got "Bell's palsy" Twice before , when I Was 9 and 17 ..

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
After going through available details, you are having Bell's Palsy which is dysfunction of VII cranial nerve and controls facial muscles.

Corticosteroids are effective in recovery of facial paralysis provided used early after the onset.

Please have faith in your treating Physician and take your treatment as recommended by your Physician.

In such cases corticosteroids are used for short period so do not worry about side effects.

Physiotherapy of face muscles is very important part of treatment.
I wish you speedy recovery.

Good Luck.
