Had Unprotected Sex. Got Period Second Time. What To Do?
Hi, I got my period earlier this month and it was regular the 4 to 5 days then stopped. I had sex last weekend and the Monday I got my period again. It started on Monday and was brownish. Now it's reddish but doesn't stop. It's not too heavy in the beginning it was very light and now it's more. Sex was unprotected. What should I do?
When having abnormal bleeding it is always important to rule out the possibility of a pregnancy. Since you had unprotected sex and we do not know for sure if you had it during your ovulation or not. You will need a blood pregnancy test and a pelvic ultrasound in order to rule out pregnancy. If pregnancy is the cause, then it is possible that you might be having implantation bleed or maybe a pregnancy complication. You will need consultation with a gynobs. If pregnancy is ruled out, then other pelvic diseases or hormonal disorder that might cause abnormal vaginal bleeding will need to be considered.
Hope this helps
