Had sex. Why the pain and blood? Why itchiness? Help

My period ended yesterday and so me and my boyfriend had sex. He fingered me which sometimes makes me bleed, but when we had sex everything was ok an i was lubricated. But we switched positions and it hurt me a lot and i felt dry suddenly. We finished and i saw blood in the bed and my thigh had blood on it as well as my vagina . After i didnt feel any pain at all. Today it still doesnt hurt but its still bleeding a little bit... What could be wrong? I had an itchy vagina before my period started and just before it ended could that have something to do with it? I havent had any bad discharge though.
