Had Open Pilon Fracture. Had Ecoli In Open Wound. Advised To Take Antibiotics Forever. Solution?

I had a car accident 18mths ago and fairly afterwards was informed I had ecoli in an open wound.I ve had 20 surgeries and have been getting IV antibiotics . Nothing is working now there telling me I m going to have to take antibiotics forever. is there anything else that can possibly be done to help me..I had a Open Pilon Fracture to my Left Ankle

The infected open wound that you have needs regular broad spectrum antibiotics to control the infection that you are having. This has to be continued as prescribed till the infection is over.
