Had Boil Beside Labia. Drained It Now Semi Soft Lump. Boil Healing? Medicines?
I had a huge boil beside labia. Went to doc, it came to a head, drained a bit and now there's just a semi soft lump there. I have compressed it and used draw out but it hasn't come to a head again and it's been weeks. Is it still a boil or healing? Should I leave it alone ? The last time I was at the doc she said nothing could be done if it wasn't pus filled.
Hi, Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM. It appears from your problem that you are probably suffering from Pyoderma of the genital area. This is due to inflammation of hair gland of the region leading to reddish bumps which can get enlarged and become painful/ itchy and then later pus formation in it. This is due to heat, humidity or certain factors related to hygiene. As per your history it was drained and later you also tied to compress it. This leads to formation of further "granulation tissues" which heals in few weeks of period of time. It is a natural and normal phenomenon and should not be worried about the same. Your doctor is correct in his/her approach.Kindly do not scratch or pop it any further in future. Maintain hygiene properly to get it vanished earliest. Wish you good health.
