Had A Steroid Injection Into My Wrist For DeQuervain's Tenosynovitis

Had a steroid injection into my wrist for DeQuervain's Tenosynovitis yesterday; unsure of drug name or dose. The doctor said it would start working 24 hrs later. It has caused good improvement in less than 24 hrs. What is the half life usually and for how many days can I expect to feel the effects?
