General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, though the associated symptoms are needed to co relate any supportive radiology report to interpret the data, with limited information here, I can utter that:
- Flexor tenosynovitis and arthritis of subtalar joint must be considered post traumatic event if there is history of trauma to the local part
- Otherwise, age related degenerative changes must be considered in this case.

Following measures will help you for primary relief:
- Local application of heating pad
- Use spray or ointment containing linseed oil, Capsaicin, Diclofenac etc
- Keep the leg elevated over support of 2-3 pillows when resting
- Prescription of anti-inflammatory medications with analgesic properties as Etoricoxib or else
- Assisted physiotherapy
- Intra articular injections of steroids as Kanacort or else, in selected cases
- Postural adaptations and supportive boot or brace
- Control of blood sugar to avoid secondary infection
- Control of body weight if BMI above 26

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
