Had Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. Worried About The Findings?
Hi I seem to have these symptoms (Eustachian Tube Dysfunction), which I have had for a week. I first noticed it when I washed my hair using a shower spray and my ears 'popped'. I did the normal 'cleaning out' with the towel , but only the right ear was normal. The other one seemed 'muffled'.. I have also noticed this last week my balance seems to be affected. Will my normal hearing come back or should I see my doctor? Any advice would be appreciated. Regards Carole Willis
Your description does not suggest me of any eustachian tube dysfunction. When you have blocking sensation in both ears after a shower the most likely situation could be wax having swollen and clogging the ears. You should not be attempting to clean your ears using buds and towel as it could push the wax farther into the canal and can get impacted. If problem persists my suggestion would be for you to visit an ENT specialist so that he could examine your ears for wax and remove them if required.
