For The Past Week I've Had Episodes Of Slight Shortness

For the past week I've had episodes of slight shortness of breath feeling in my diphragm area. Comes and goes...especially when I get anxious about it.
Occasional dry cough, no other symptoms. No history of asthma. However, I was at a brush dump just before and the smells were horrible. Also started working with a weighted hula hoop. Could this be asthma or something more serious?
