Foaming In Mouth. Suffering From PDD. Anything To Worry?

My son has PDD and I dont know if what I'm about to ask has anything to do with that but I'm concerned. Last night I awoke to seeing my son foaming at the mouth. I wiped it away he didn't appear to be in distress but I dont no if maybe he was while I was sleeping. What does it mean should I be concerned? That wasn't the first time I saw that.

Hi and sorry to hear about your son's condition,

Foaming in the night should not be taken to be a normal thing. The most common cause of this is nocturnal convulsions/seizures that often go unnoticed but have far reaching neurological consequences on the child. Did you notice any muscle rigidity? abnormal limb or lips movements? Was he responsive to you? I will suggest that you take the child and get him evaluated by a neurologist. Doing an Electroencephalogram will not be irrational here.

Hope this helps.
Wish you and your son good health.
Feel free to return for more help.
