Fever, Nausea, Vomiting. Had Wisdom Teeth Removed. Normal?

Hi,

So I got my wisdom teeth removed today and I took a nap when I got home. But for some reason I woke up with a fever and nausea. This was about 6 1/2 hours. Ago. About two hours ago, I started vomiting everything, and now I have nothing in my stomach and I am still vomiting! I have no idea why and was wondering if it was normal or not?
Thanks,
Sammi

Hi and sorry about what you are experiencing right now.

How high is this fever? What other drugs are you taking?
I think drugs should be responsible for these symptoms but the fever. If the fever is low grade, then there is nothing to bother about about a tooth extraction. if it is very high, you may want to talk with your dentist.

Give yourself another few hours. This should stop unless otherwise.
If the symptoms persist, then you may want to call your dentist and review your medications and symptoms with him.

Wish you good health and hope you found this helpful.

Hello,

Thanks for choosing HCM forum.

Vomitting post-extraction of wisdom tooth can be due to-

Side effect of antibiotics administered.

Gastritis.

Abscess draining from the site of tooth extraction.

Please do visit your dentist and get a thorough clinical evaluation done.

Take plenty of fluids as well as nutritious diet.

Vitamin becosules and iron supplements has to be administered.

Take care.
