Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
In a fracture neck femur, surgery is the best way to have a good quality of life. Without surgery, the hip joint will gradually become arthritic and he may remain bed ridden for the rest of his life. You can discuss the prognosis with his orthopedician and then decide.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
