Feel Bugs/ Insects Crawling On Skin, Get Red Marks. How Can I Fix This Problem?

For many years now I have felt bugs/ insects crawling on my skin. Occasionally around my legs and arms I get red marks that look like bites. I have also lost lots of hair (I m not sure whether this is due to stress from the bugs). Doctor s I tell my problems to think I m crazy and tell me it s all in my mind. I m certain there s a certain form of bug in my clothes but I can never see them, only feel them. How can I fix this problem ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
This sensation is generally called paraesthesia, and usually of neurological origin. A proper neurological examination is necessary. Common causes include ion deficiencies like Calcium, Magnesium and at times Potassium and Sodium. It might therefore be of interest to get these ions tested for in blood. Lack of specififc vitamins could also cause this. A proper physical examination is however compelling to get a proper diagnosis. Kind regards
