Explanation For Focal Fibroadenosis And Hyperplastic Nodule?
I had an ultrasound on breasts. The report says: The echotextures of breasts are normal. A 0.54 x 0.43 x 0.34cm solid nodule is seen in right breast at the 3 o clock position 2cm from nipple. Probably a hyperplastic nodule. An area of focal prominent lumpy parenchymal texture is noted at 10 o clock position 2cm from nipple in right breast, measuring 1.17x1.51x0.46cm. Likely focal fibroadenosis. Can doctor give me more explanation on these? Many thanks.

Hello,
You are having hyperplastic nodule and fibroadenosis which is suggestive of Benign proliferative breast lesion. It is pure Benign condition of the breast. So don't worry about that.
However, in such case, I suggest you investigate with FNAC from the nodule to rule out nature of lesion. Ultrasonography only cannot be reliable.
