Experiencing Pain In My Left Hip Area - Acute Which

Experiencing pain in my left hip area - acute which started around 4 days ago. Difficult to get out of bed and up from chairs. Last August, a different type of pain occurred in lower left abdomen. I thought it might be in the colon, particularly since it subsided after a bowel movement. That pain was quite severe for around two weeks, then went away for several months, came back several times, last reoccurring about two months ago. I'm wondering if the hip area pain is somehow related - although the initial pain that started in August was in lower left abdomen and this new pain seems to be in hip area? Does hip pain occur suddenly? I'm due for a colonoscopy (last was January 2012 with no issues). My Mother had colon cancer (late in life at age 80), and an initial colonoscopy I had 20 years ago resulted in polyp removal - no issues. I'm concerned about getting one, however, since I have ventricular tachycardia and any type of medication affects my heart rate and blood pressure. I was thinking if the hip pain continues to increase, I could make an appointment with the surgeon who replaced my husband's hips in 2016. Would an Xray of the hip show anything else, i.e., lower abdomen area as well?
