How Is It Possible For Everything To Smell The Same?

Everything I cook or eat has the same strange smell, a disgusting unusual smell that I cannot describe. I have had this for a 3 months. I have not had problems with allergies or sinus but I am 72 and have bad teeth that I cannot afford to have fixed. Is it possible this would cause everything to smell the same? Other than this I am in good health, I have not had a change in medications in several years.

Hello,

Your smell problems could be related to your teeth problems, or a metabolic problem. Dementia can also lead to this clinical situation. Coming to this point, I would recommend checking iron plasma levels, vitamin B12 and vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency. Pregabalin can help improve your situation, coupled with an antidepressant.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
