Ear Felt Numb And Lost Hearing After Shoving With Finger When Ear Felt Blocked. How To Cure?

This evening I noticed my ears felt a little blocked so stupidly I started shoving my finger up my left ear quite a lot. It started off as something a little annoying but a while after my finger was in my ear the hearing has almost gone and my ear feels numb. Any suggestions on why this is and how to solve it?
