Done Lab Tests After Being Sick. History Of MRSA. Family History Of Cancer. Need For Concern?
Recently I was seen in the emergency room for being sick. In receiving the lab results many tests I am concerned asbout. My Monocytes Absolute was 1.07, Neutrophils Relative was 83.9, Lymphocytes Relative was 9.0, Neutrophils Absolute was 14.55 and WBC was 17.4. Is therea concern here when I havew a past history of MRSA and Cancer does run in my family?
I am so sorry to hear about your recent illness. These lab results are consistent with a recent bacterial infection fro the elevated white cell counts and increased absolute neutrophils count. There is nothing here suggestive of a cancer or MRSA. Also you need not worry about them just now because nothing suggest either of them. Stick to you plan of treatment. Follow up evaluations would be done and if need be to update the diagnosis or change treatment it shall be done accordingly but for now be calm.
I hope this addresses your query fully and provides guidance on how to approach this problem. Thank you so much for using our services. Please feel free to for more information if need be. I wish you the best of health! Dr. Ditah MD
