Done Chemotherapy And Mastectomy For Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Has Cancer Spread?
Hi I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in Feb. of this year, I finished chemo July 3 and had my mastectomy about 5 weeks ago and im getting ready to start radiation therapy next week, but my question is when I went to tattoo for my radiation, why did the technician tattoo me under my breast of the opposite side I had cancer? Does that mean that when they did CT Scan that it should cancer cells, it did spread to my lymph nodes and they were removed

yes the cancer must have spread to surrounding tissues and organs.
Stage 3 means the cancer is no longer localized only in breast but has had metastasis.
