General & Family Physician 's  Response
typhoid fever will typically give fever, chills and abdominal pain in most people. I am however curious of what kind of test was done to diagnose typhoid and how long your son has been in a typhoid endemic region. Did the blood work show an elevated white cell count or elevated neutrophil count as well?
