After a 5 day stay she returned home and now is not looking as good as she was in the hospital. Do you think the kerosene heater can be affecting her?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Burning of kerosene oil heater is closed area can lead to suffocation and breathing problems.
Dehydration can also result from burning of kerosene oil heater.
However, collapsed lung and pneumonia are not likely to be due to kerosene heater.
There is likely to be some other underlying cause for these symptoms of collapsed lung and pneumonia.
Pneumonia occurs due to infections like bacterial infection, viral infection, etc.
Thus, I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist for management of the lung condition.

Thanks and take care
