I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain as the wisdom tooth was removed in April it is not the cause of
tonsillitis but in case if you are having
impacted wisdom tooth or an erupting wisdom tooth then in case if here is inflammation of the gum flap that surrounds the wisdom tooth then the inflammation can cause Tonsillitis due to close vicinity with the wisdom tooth..
Nothing to worry, consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and in case of
gum inflammation antibiotics like Azihromycin or
Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen and warm saline gargles will relieve both the gum and the tonsil.
In case if there is no inflammation of gum flap then also antibiotics, painkillers and warm saline gargles and steam inhalations will help..
