Does The Patches Of Paint Cause Any Side Effects?
We have discovered very sever damp that has permeated into pictures on the wall of the house we are renting - It is in one of the childrens bedrooms - and indeed several patches on the ceilings of the house - in short the house has a serious damp problem - we live in south africa and granted most of the time the house is open as the weather is good , but are there physical effects that we should be worried about for our family

Damping is a common problem. having a damp is not the problematic. but if you have growth of some kind of fungus like aspergillus than it will cause problem. it will inhale in your lung and cause breathing problem. but as you mention you have good ventilation, i dont think that fungus will cause problem in your house. but you should consult the mason and start repairing of your house. even though you are renting, atleast repair that much that cause stop in damping.
