Does The Head Injury Need Further Investigation?

I slipped whilst in the bath and fell backwards, hitting my head at the inside edge of the tub. It hurt extremely bad after doing so, I d gotten a super bad head ache and then the next day it didn t hurt. But now, a few days later, I was rubbing gently on the back area where id injured myself and noticed that it was slightly indented. Running my fingers even LIGHTLY across the area causes severe sharp throbbing pain, even now, 30-40 mins after doing so, it still feels as if I just touched it. What s wrong with me?

Your pain symptoms are entirely expected since you just recently struck your head extremely hard on the back. You can put some ice on there daily for 20-30 min. at a time and it will start feeling better but it will likely be painful for some time. I don't know about the indentation. If you truly believe that's brand new and as a result of the blow to the head then, perhaps you should have a physician physically look at the area or take an x-ray of the skull. Personally, my bet is that the indentation is unrelated and you're simply finding it incidentally.

It's ALWAYS a good idea to have a DOCTOR look at a head injury and test you, especially if it was a hard knock or something that nearly knocked you out or dazed you or made you see stars, etc.
