Does The Fever Need A Hospital Visit?

y daycare told me that today while I was at work my 12 month old daughter got her hand in her diaper and put her own feces in her mouth. Since I have been home she has gotten a fever (102.1) but otherwise seems normal. Should I take her to the hospital?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Fecal matter does contain toxic bacteria.
Try acetaminophen or paracetamol for a day.
If fever persists consult your doctor.
If she develops any other symptoms like vomiting or stomach pain consult immediately.
Regards
