Does The Dislocated Joint In The Shoulder Blade Re-sets By Itself?

age: 21 weight: 86 kg height: 5ft 11 inches hello, I dislocated my shoulder about 2 weeks ago while weightlifting. At first there was a little swelling around the area. The doctor advised me to take rest for two weeks and let the muscles repair and regain their strength. Now the thing is, i also have this condition since childhood in which i can voluntarily dislocate my shoulder which slides back rite in into the socket. But this is different, after the weightlifting incident two weeks ago, i can dislocate the shoulder but it doesn t slip rite back in and it hurts. The doctor also said in this condition i cannot even have a surgery, because i would again just pop it out voluntarily. so no point in surgery. Its been two weeks since the incident. I havent tried any voluntarily dislocation with the damaged shoulder and I believe the muscles have healed around the shoulder. I have avoided lifting my shoulder up or backwards too. However, sometimes i feel as if in a sudden jerk of motion, the shoulder will come rite out again. But all this has made me really worried and paranoid. My question, is this damage permanent? if not how long is going to heal and is my shoulder ever going to be good as new? is it also true that surgery cannot work on me?
