Does The Change In Dermadew Formula Cause Irritation?
Dear Sir , I am using dermadew soap from the last few years. But from last few months , i am getting irritation when i use the soap. I came to know from the chemist that the formula for dermadew is changed now. my question to you is , does the change in formula will cause irritation ? why the company has not informed the customer about the change in formula ? Madura
Yes, with change of chemical formula, there can be irritation to skin and it may cause irritant contact dermatitis.
My suggestions are as follows: 1)You need to do a patch test before applying the soap to whole body. Apply it to a small area of skin on your forearm and wait for 5 min, if there is redness or rash or any irritation, it means you are allergic to that soap. 2) It's better to avoid using that soap. 3) Using any other soap that contains good amount of Glycerine is better. 4) You can complain against the company.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
