General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Sir, Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern.
After having gone through your history I am of the opinion that you seem to have developed adverse effects of cholesterol medication (like Atorvastatin or Simvastatin). Pain or muscle stiffness is an important side effect of these medications. I advise you to stop taking these medications and consult your treating physician for an alternate but a safer medication to lower your high cholesterol level like Cholestyramine. Hope the suggestion given above would be useful.
Best regards.
