Does Taking Norethisterone Help Control Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

I have been on the Nacrez pill for about 6 months. I was on he combined pill before and had no problem. I had to change due to migraines that I was getting. On the Nacrez I have had constant bleeding for about 3 months and now it seems that I bleed for about 20 days and have two weeks with out bleeding. But it s not always the case. I am sick of the bleeding but was told to persevere as it would get better and takes time. The doctor mention the Northisterone pill as a possibility. Would this control my bleeding and eventually stop it? I am working a summer season this summer and would really have liked my periods to have stopped so it s not a worry for me and I wouldn t have to spend the entire summer in a tampon.

Hello,

You are getting very heavy bleeding and are sick of it. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist to detect the pathology causing you such heavy bleeding. Get blood tests and investigations / imaging tests done to detect pathology causing you heavy bleeding.

Medical conditions that can cause heavy bleeding are cervical polyp, fibroid in the uterus, endometriosis, hormonal problems, stress, etc. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and the severity of your symptoms. Norethisterone, Regestrone 5mg tablet, is a medication that is commonly used to treat menstrual disorders, endometriosis, or abnormal vaginal bleeding caused by a hormone imbalance. It is helpful to control heavy menstrual bleeding.

Get clinically examined before taking any medicine. Stay away from addictions if any and take home made food rich in iron, magnesium, calcium and protein.
