Does Splitting Up Single Dosage Of Lisinopril Into Two Alter Its Effectiveness?
I have been taking one 20 mg tablet of lisinopril each morning for about six weeks. My question is: if I split the dosage by cutting the tablets in half, then taking 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening, will it alter the effectiveness of the lisinopril?

I have gone through your query. Lisinopril have action for 24 hours. So splitting your 20mg into morning and evening dosage won't be appropriate. Such splitting can be done by your treating doctor if your BP is high and while combining with other drugs. So taking 10 mg twice with out your doctor's advise is not good.
