Does Spinning In The Carnival Ride Cause Vertigo In Children?

My 15 year old daughter who is healthy has been nauseated for 8 days now, this onset came as a result of a carnival ride she rode on at a church festival last saturday evening. When she got off the ride immediately she knew she was feeling sick to her stomach and dizzy. She went straight to bed and even threw up the next morning. Could she have vertigo from a fast spinning carnival ride? Would it last 8 days?

Hello,

Cannot say in your particulat case. Cannot diagnose someone I cannot see. AND vertigo is triggered by spinning around and stops really fast because she isn't still on the ride. Other causes can still be present like an ear infection and causes being continually present cause continuing problems.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
