Does Severe Chest Bruise And Pain After A Fall Need Medical Attention?

My daughter did a flip in the air, and landed flat on her back. It knocked the breath out of her and she couldn t breath for little while then soon got air. My dad, an ems/emt was there and helped us through it. She got up and was fine but sore in her chest. It is 3 days later and her chest is sore in the middle and it hurts her to pick up anything heavy. She said it feels like a bruised hurt. I wanted to take her to doctor to get X-ray to make sure everything is okay. Her breathing seems fine. Do you think she needs to get checked out?

Hi welcome to health care magic. After going through your query I think there is no rib fracture as there is no pain in breathing. You require ice fomentation, analgesics, deep breathing exercise and rib belt support may require. Hope your query has been answered . Thanks .
