Does Redness/discomfort On Vaginal Inner Lips Indicate Yeast Infection?
Hi i have some redness and discomfort on one of the inner lips of my vagina. Although I always use a condom, my boyfriend has had jock itch on his testicles for some time now. The redness appears as a red line. It is warm to the touch and painful. There is no discomfort urinating but frequent urges to pee as well as frequent urination. I am 20 years old, 5 3 and 110 pounds. Is this a yeast infection?

It is difficult to say without examination if it is a yeast infection but the symptoms suggest it is something to be concerned about. As per history given about your sexual partner, it can be an STI. But again it is hard to say without examining the lesion and doing some tests like pathological examination of lesion . It can be gonococcal or chlamydial infection which can simply be treated by antibiotics like ceftriaxone and doxycyline.
