Does Recurring Vomiting After Accidental Ingestion Of Plastic Need Medical Attention?

My wife swallowed some plastic material served to her in a restaurant. That which remained was white plastic as used in food containers. This occurred one month ago and she has susequently had 3 bouts of unexplained violent vomiting separated by one to two weeks on each occasion. How should she proceed will xrays or cat scan help?

Did she swallow silver paper?

If she has consumed one month back then it may be passed in stools so don't worry.

The present condition may be due to some other reason like gastritis or food intolerance or food poisoning or malabsorption syndromes or intra abdominal pathology etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use tablet Pantoprazole. Get it done ultrasound abdomen.

If you have doubt you may get it done X-ray erect abdomen, capsule endoscopy or colonoscopy and then consult your gastroenterologist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
