Does Prolonged Intake Of Prolomet-AM50 Have Negative Effects On Fathering A Child?

Dear, I am 30 years old and yet to married. I have young hypertension and I have heart attack history from my father, so as per one of the physicians advice, I have been taking Prolomet AM50 since last 4 years. last year after 2D ECO I found hypertrophy of left ventricular. I have never gone through any heart dysfunction. MY question is, is it advisable for me to stop the medicine and will the medicine or hypertension affect my fertility? Please..

I can understand your concern.
Prolomet AM is having combination of metoprolol and amlodipine.
Both are good drugs for young hypertensive patients.
These drugs do no affect fertility. So no need to worry about fertility issue.
And since you are having left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), these drugs are must for you.
If you stop them, your heart disease will worsen.
So don't stop these drugs. Continue them and don't worry about fertility problem.
