Does Pneumonia Medication Cause Increase In Thirst?
My husband is a diebetic and was recently in the hospital for pneuomina and he was septic at the time he was brought in. Was in ICU for a few days and is home, but he is so thirsty. Could this be from the drugs as a side effect, or could it be something else. Also, his kidneys did start to shut down when he was hospitalized.

Increased thirst could be due to multiple reasons like Limited oral intake of fluids during hospitalization or hyperglycemia as the patient is diabetic and many medications which are used in intensive care units can lead to hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia due to any cause leads to increased thirst.
