Does Parvovirus Affect The Immune System Of A Person?

I recently had oral surgery (bone and gum graft) and was given amoxicillin but developed an infection and was given a stronger medication. I went to a 4-day yoga training and developed a slight cold as well as a staph infection in a hair follicle on the back of my head. This has all been within the past month and a half. Almost 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with parvovirus which lasted for about 8 months and the arthritic symptoms kept returning. I saw a rheumatologist who then diagnosed me with fibromyalgia due to the parvovirus. Could my immune system be compromised? Could this be a result of the parvovirus and periodic episodes of fibromyalgia? If so, what can I do to help rebuild my immune system?

Hello,

Yes, parvovirus can cause fibromyalgia but not necessarily your immune system is compromised. For fibromyalgia, you can try physiotherapy, which really helps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
