Does Masturbation Help To Reduce Stress?

I am a 67 yr. old Christian woman and even though there s nothing that really addresses masturbation as sinful, people in the churches feel that it is. My husband of 36 yrs and I have not had any sexual intercourse going on 5 yrs now. Just recently, he has been diagnosed with mild vascular dementia and I don t see sexual relations between us ever again. I don t even get touched but I do masturbate once & a while for release of stress cuz I have chronic panic attacks and am thinking this will help the panic attacks be less often. I m in a dilemma! I know you couldn t possibly address the spiritual side of this but will it help me physically with stress?

Masturbation is a way to relieve your stress in a way. Do not mix up spirituality in this matter. It is not a sin, some people after masturbation feels slightly depressed. This is because they have an inner feeling that masturbation is a sin or unnatural way of sex. But definitely masturbation will help your relieve stress. Also try some yoga and regular exercise. Eat a balanced diet, and have plenty of fluids too.
