Does Keyhole Surgery Help In Treating Gall Stones?

I have a husband on tour with a rock band where he started rehearsal moday the 12th and has been hospitalized for gallstones and removal of his goldblatter tomorrow th e15th. He plans to be back at rehearsal on friday. Is that possible with this new keyhole surgery? THIS IS A VERY FAMOUS ROCK BAND WHICH WILL REMAINED UNNAMEd but he needs to go back as soon as possible or will let the band down and maybe even loose his job.Please help me guide him and his complicated situation. Hx

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, keyhole surgery or laparoscopic surgery is very minimally invasive and recovery times is really quick but at least 24-hour rest before mobilization and then gradual physical exertions are recommended.

However, Sometimes during the procedure if the surgeon feels unavoidable he may need to open it and if so it will add recovery time.
