Does It Hurt While Breathing After Taking Tussion Ext Rel Sus?
the doctor has put me on tussionex ext rel sus every 12 hours and i want to no if it will hurt my breathing. i have never took this before and i am a dibetie high blood pressure and thyroid pills. my coughh is really bothering me i gusse i am scared of some mechines. thank you

The syrup you have mentioned is antitussive (cough suppressant) syrup which will cause respiratory depression.
In productive cough, this medication is not useful, used only for irritant dry cough. So, it causes respiratory depression that is how your breathing is heavy.
