Does Intake Of Zocor Cause Muscle Pain And Nausea?
Can Zocor or the generic version mimic some symptoms of a heart attack. Can this drug produce muscle pain in your arm similar to those related to a patient having heart problems.Can this drug cause you to sweat for a short period of time and feel nausea after one of these muscle episodes?

1. Zocor (simvastatin) can cause muscle pain and muscle degeneration called myopathy.
2. It also cause severe acidity and Stomach pain.
3. these two may combine to give heart attack like symptoms if dietary restrictions are not followed.
4. But the sweatings are usually reported. Hence first take some anti acidity drugs like Zinetac 150 mg two times a day for 5 days and avoid fatty food and alcohol.
5. If symptoms persist, consult your physician for TMT test and cardiac evaluation.
