Does Intake Of Vyvanse Help In Treating Depressive Disorder?

I have severe depressive disorder, anxiety, PTSD, and TBI. I ve been on many different antidepressants over the years and I finally gave up and have been trying to just self-manage my problems which hasn t helped at all. My cousin told me about Vyvanse. He has Depressive Disorder and ADD. He says it s the only medication that works for him. I was wondering if it would be a medication I might ask to try? Maybe it would help me with my depression and low energy levels.

Hi there.
Vyvanase is a drug used primarily for ADHD, and not for depression. It is an amphetamine therefore there is a high potential for abuse. It should therefore be even used with caution in ADHD.
Your main complaint seem to be about depression therefore I would not recommend Vyvanase.
You dont indicate the antidepressants you have been on, it may have given an indication of what you can try instead of the others.
From my experience combining therapy and treatment usually gives the best results.
Can you maybe indicate which drugs you have been on?

I find this answer helpful
