Does Intake Of Duphaston Cause Ectopic Pregnancy?
I had irregular periods and my doctor advised me to take duphaston for 3 months and to take folic acid daily. After 9 months of regulated period, I had an ectopic pregnancy at only 5 weeks and 6days gestational age. My right tube was removed immediately. Is it possible that the duphaston caused the ectopic pregnancy? What should I do to avoid ectopic pregnancy on my left tube?

Hello,
You have been taking the right treatment to help getting pregnant and support pregnancy but unluckily it ended up to an ectopic pregnancy and right tube removed. Duphastone is not known to cause or favourise ectopic pregnancy so it is not to blame. There is no method to prevent having an ectopic pregnancy on left side but it doesn't increase the possibility that it can happen.
